J&K CABINETRY (“J&K”) extends the following limited warranty on all cabinets sold by J&K within the United States and Canada. This Limited Warranty is only applicable to products sold to the original purchasing consumer on or after January 1, 2019.
J&K warrants that all cabinets purchased from J&K will be free from all unnatural defects in material and workmanship in accordance with J&K quality standards sheet under normal residential use for 5 years from the date of the original purchase or as long as the original purchasing consumer owns the home in which such cabinets are installed, whichever is less. This warranty is non-transferable to subsequent owners of the home.
Door hinges and all drawer glide systems, including system hardware (lift systems), are warranted for 1 year under normal residential use from the date of the original purchase.
Please Note: This limited warranty is only applicable to products purchased directly from authorized retailers or distributors. Warranty claims for products purchased from online retailers, auction websites, or any unauthorized third-party sellers may not be honored. We strongly recommend purchasing our products from authorized sellers to ensure the validity of the warranty.
Limitations and Exclusions
This limited warranty is subject to all limitations, exclusions, disclaimers, and procedures set forth herein.
The warranty does not cover defects caused by:
Improper handling, storage, installation, assembly, or disassembly
Exposure to dirt, chemicals, abrasive or citrus cleaning products
Transit or other intentional or negligent damage
Product modifications or exposure to extreme moisture, humidity, or temperature extremes (outside 50–85°F and 30–55% humidity)
Normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, accidents, alterations, improper use, exposure to improper loads, or failure to maintain
Any modification to hardware or finish by anyone not authorized by J&K will void the warranty.
The product must be used exclusively for its intended purpose. The warranty is void if the product or any of its parts is modified, improperly installed, or used in a non-residential setting.
Natural Wood Characteristics
Natural wood may vary in color, grain, and exhibit changes as it ages.
Characteristics like mineral streaks, knots, and grain variations are not defects.
Painted items may develop cracking around joints or change color over time.
Glazed finishes may vary in thickness and appearance.
Environmental exposure such as UV light, sunlight, and household cleaners may affect the finish—these are not covered.
Wood Movement and Warpage
Wood naturally expands and contracts with atmospheric changes.
Shrinkage or expansion of door center panels is normal and typically self-corrects seasonally.
Door warpage greater than ¼” will be warranted.
Always check doors on a flat surface before requesting a replacement.
Hairline cracks are a normal result of wood behavior and are not covered.
Warranty Performance
J&K may change or discontinue product lines and specifications. If repair is not possible, J&K may replace the part with:
A new part of the same or similar style currently offered.
This warranty does not cover:
Service, labor, shipment, transportation, removal, or installation costs.
Any mismatch in appearance between old and new products.
If a replacement is approved, J&K will ship via ground shipper or freight carrier at its sole discretion.
Disclaimer of Other Warranties
This writing is the complete and exclusive remedy for any original consumer purchaser for breach of warranty.
Please Note: The express warranties herein replace any and all other express and/or statutory warranties to the extent allowed by law.
How to File a Warranty Claim
Contact your local authorized J&K builder, dealer, or distributor who installed or sold the product.
Provide a dated sales receipt as proof of purchase.
If needed, J&K may inspect the product before a decision is made.
If assistance is difficult to obtain, email all documents to support@jk-cabinetry.com with a detailed explanation of the defect.
Do not send products or parts unless expressly requested by J&K.
Pictures may be required.
Fraudulent claims may be prosecuted.
J&K reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding warranty claims.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This warranty and any disputes relating to it shall be:
Governed by the laws of the State of New York (excluding conflict of law principles)
Brought only in:
U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, or
